Survivors of Human-Caused and Natural Disasters
by National Center For Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Every year, millions of Americans are affected by both human-caused and natural disasters, such as earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, tornados, and wildfires. Survivors face the danger of death or physical injury and the possible loss of their homes, possessions, and communities. Such stressors place survivors at risk for behavioral and emotional readjustment problems.
Circle of Graditude
by Leandra Walker It's been a full and hectic week. I've hardly had time to think, no less to mourn or cry. This is good, and what's come from it is better.
Last Sunday, a religious discussion group I attend held a service, called the Circle of Gratitude. Had you asked me several months ago, I would have said there is NOTHING in my life to be grateful for, nothing to celebrate. And I would have been wrong.
