HomeQuestions from children
Dear Friend, Recently I received your e-mail regarding the death of your dog, Ben: I lost my German Shepherd almost 3 years ago...the pain is so strong and isn't fading away. I ask only one question to you, does he see and feel me? Answer: I am sorry that your pain is still great. I couldn't tell whether this is the first animal you have lost to death, but it sounds like that might be the case. Nothing prepares us for that first loss. It also sounds like this might be close to the time of year that he died, in which case you could be experiencing extra feelings of sadness as the anniversary of his death approaches. Your one question of me, whether he can see and feel you, touched my heart. Unfortunately, I do not have special powers to know without a doubt what animals -- or humans, for that matter -- are capable of after they have departed this life. However, I strongly believe that if Ben is capable of looking down on you, he is also looking out for you. More than anything he probably wants you to be strong and happy like he did when he was physically present. May your heart find healing. My Best, Kitty |
